Sharpening our spears for the Roatan International Lionfish Tournament!

The Roatan International Liionfish Tournament and Cookoff is happening from October 6th - 11th, and we figured what better way to showcase it than with a little action-packed (and hopefully a slightly informative) video. The lionfish tournament is an amazing event for Roatan, benefiting charities that really need help here like Cattleya, Roatan Operation Animal Rescue, the Roatan Marine Park's POP Program and more.

If you want to participate, either as an individual or as a group, you can sign up here. Entry fee is $25/person or $50/team. If you're not already licensed with the Roatan Marine Park to carry a Hawaiian Sling, they've got classes filling up all the time. If you want to join City Dogs on a team, shoot us a private message or reach out to us in the comments below.

If you're on the island but don't want to hunt or aren't able to hunt, you can be one of the chefs preparing lionfish samples for the judges and attendees of the Lionfish Cookoff at the gorgeous Las Palmas resort at the conclusion of the tournament on October 11th. If you're not on island, remember you can always donate to the tournament, proceeds will go towards the many good charities this event is raising funds for.
