So we had the honor of teaching our friend Brian how to dive in the gorgeous open water of the MesoAmerican Barrier Reef here on the island of Roatan. We explored a number of great dive sites in West End and West Bay, saw turtles, stingrays, spotted eagle rays, lobsters, shrimp, all kinds of fish and tons of good, healthy, vibrant coral. We also took them on a day sail aboard our Beneteau Oceanis 393 sailing vessel from the East End of the island down to West End and went out one night tooling around on a fun little sunset cruise.
Here are a couple of videos from Brian's third open water dive at Lighthouse Reef just outside Half-Moon Bay in West End, little more than a stone's throw away from where he was staying at the amazing boutique hotel The Beach House. In the first video above Brian is finishing off his mask removal, replacement and clearing skill, which he did like a rock star!
In the second video Brian is practicing the manual BCD inflation to hover with neutral buoyancy skill. Shoutout to Captain Andrea for taking some good videos of Brian's Open Water Certification dives. And thanks to Brian and Jenn for spending some time with City Dogs!
