Projects & First Dinghy ride

It's been busy.

Seems like we can't turn around without finding something else to to, some other new project entailing what could be weeks or months of work on the boat, but I wouldn't trade it for the world because each day is a unique challenging experience.

But this afternoon, after a long day inside organizing, cataloging, fixing, and planning, we decided to finally take our new dinghy out on the open water. We've been running the engine daily since Howard recommended it but today was the first time we trusted the old Honda motor for real. It took a minute to start up, the prolonged downpours over the past couple days might have had something to do with that.

Andrea and I took to the new dinghy immediately. Fozzie and Mischa were more reticent but both of them eventually came around and started liking being on the bow, feeling the slight salty spray from the the sea as we skim along the surface. The engine hummed nicely for the entire ride, running so nicely I can't believe I ever thought about getting rid of it.

When we got back, there was a nice sunset waiting for us.
