This is me (Steve) at the helm of a J80 in New York Harbor in the summer of 2015 -- on the way back from a trip out to the Verrazano Narrows Bridge (connecting Staten Island and Brooklyn). Pretty sure Andrea was holding the main sheet, but I was at least steering -- saying to myself Left is Right, Right is Left, the entire time to keep myself from turning in the opposite direction and ending up cutting off the Staten Island ferry or a big barge.
Seriously, handling the J80 is a relative breeze. It's an incredibly responsive, dynamic boat that literally hums when it hits the sweet spot. It seems to glide over the water. Quite a ride!
